STALKER: A LOVE STORY
Year: 2015
Medium: Narrative Short Film; 1080p Digital Video
Size: 9 Min 26 Sec
A short film I made during my time as an undergraduate that envisions an alternate future where humans have replaced dogs with drones as pets. Made for a Media Studies class focused on expanded storytelling, I set off to apply my honors thesis research on drones for a more absurdist application. STALKER: A Love Story is the playful culmination of my desires to anthropomorphize everyday technology objects – revealing the underpinning assumptions that belie their conception. By placing drones in a tenuous relationship with their human counterparts, our most intimate relations and vulnerabilities are displayed in campy horror-film fashion.
